I have been using a lot of wood ash on my work lately. Wood ash is exactly as you think, once you glaze your piece as normal you literally put ashes from wood on the piece. This creates a drip like effect, an amazing texture and natural color. Basically creating a piece that looks like it has been in a wood firing not a gas kiln. Here is some new altered bowls, plates, bottles, and more.
