Installing Floating Edge Frame On Mick Jagger

I have begun to frame my work, this particular painting I am using a flat black floating edge frame. This style frame allows the painting to really pop off the wall in a great presentation. I have these custom made through a friend Andy Gemmel which is much cheaper then a frame store.

Doing My Part For Empty Bowls

For the last five years Coronado High School has held a fundraiser every April called "Empty Bowls." The fundraiser brings hunger awareness and raises money for CHS. Eric Rempe and his ceramic students make around 800 bowls which people can purchase full of soup during the event. Sponsored by local restaurants and businesses "Empty Bowls" will be held on April 15th at CHS.

Salad Bowl

Shino and Wood Ash

Here are a few pots with RJ Shino and Wood Ash. Shino is a traditional Japanese glaze.

Kilns

Here are some of the different types of kilns used. Each of these kilns create different work because the style of glazes applied and the natural glazes and colors that happen during the actually firing of the kiln.

They usually look dirty and old but when you open them you see something completely different and amazing.

Raku Kiln, Soda Kiln, Traditional Wood Kiln, Three Chamber Wood Kiln, Electric Kilns, and a Gas Kiln.
