Glazing Glazing Glazing
For these new pots I have been trying some different and new techniques of glazing as well as some old favorites. I have always stayed pretty consistent but with these I am using multiple techniques and layers of different glazes, different textures, and also application methods. By using different and new processes I will hopefully create some new and unique work, it is always exciting to get back new pieces because you don't know what to expect.

Some Of My Favorite Landscapes
I have a always loved to take photos but never have the time except for traveling. So I've been looking through some old photos of trips over the past few years putting together some photos for my portfolio. Although I take hundreds of photos I enjoy landscapes the best, usually a great look back on where you've been and how beautiful it was. Here are a few of my favorite landscapes from some road trip adventures up the California coast and different trips through Europe.

Studio and Art Gallery in Progress
Over the last few years I have always talked with friends about getting a studio and starting a gallery but we never had the time nor place to do it. Over the last couple of months an opportunity came my way and I jumped on it. My friend Dustin got a new workshop and asked if I wanted to expand with him into more space. We recently finished negotiating with the building owner and with some work I will have a gallery workshop as of May 1st.
We are in the process of building it right now as you can see in the pictures. The space is in the East Village area of San Diego located on 15th between Island and Market in an industrial building. Dustin is my partner on this adventure and currently has his workshop here which is in the pictures above and my space is being built right now to the left. It is about 300sqft not including a loft and has 25ft ceilings and old pain windows. This will be a full functioning studio for myself and art gallery, giving local artist a platform to show there work and also hold events of any kind. Together we have almost 900sqft and will be fixing up the building and space over the end of April and May, along with making a website and blog for our new project.

High School Portfolio
I recently found out that I could convert old slides to digital. So I took my old High School portfolio down to Nelsons Photo in Little Italy and they converted them to digital so I didn't lose any quality scanning them into the computer. This is my first art portfolio which I used to get into college and win the Coronado High School Artist Scholarship Award.
